Honda R&D used the design parameters of the BF9.9 hp to mold the new Honda BF15. The result is a 15-hp, four-stroke outboard just slightly larger and a little heavier than a 9.9. In fact, you really have to look for the horsepower label on the engine cowl to distinguish between the new 15-hp and the 9.9-hp Honda outboards.
